shehnai, is an Esraj(an Indian bowed instrument) whose sound is amplified by a metal horn attached to its sound board it is sometime attached to the horn itself. The horn of a phonograph has sometimes been used. The instruments sounds similar to a violin or shehnai. It has 4 main string with around 24 sympathetic string.
